Authors’ Rights 101

The International Confederation of Authors and Composers Societies (CISAC), not to be confused with the US performance rights organization SESAC, is an organization that dedicates itself to serving and protecting authors from around the world and from all artistic mediums.

CISAC has created 3 short, funny cartoons  that explain the basics of artists’ rights.  These videos cover the topics of  what constitutes a “creator,” a “creative work” and an “authors’ society.”  To see more CISAC videos, or to watch these videos in French, German or Spanish, visit CISAC’s Daily Motion page.
